The Pioneer deities (Munnorgal in Tamil) were the heirs of sage Thambiran. They were symbolically represented as the pedestal structures positioned in the mandapam. One such structure is positioned in front of Veerabhadrar, the other in front of Irulappar, and the third structure is positioned in front of Nallathambi Swamy. Devotees believe these structures are the relics of divinity,<\/p>\n
