Arulmigu Chithanatha Gurunathasamy Temple locally known as Sithar Temple is situated in the Puliyuran village, which is 12 kilometres away on the eastern side of Aruppukottai town,Virudhunagar district. This Hindu temple is dedicated to lord Sithanathar. This temple was built on the tomb of an entombed, the renowned saint Sithar in the 16th century, and renovated in the medieval times. The special feature of this temple is holy water. Devotees take home this holy water as wonder medicine to treat many ailments like skin rashes and mild poisonous bites.

NANDI MANDAPAM
Nandi is a sacred bull that sits in a dedicated columned pavilion known as Nandi mandapam, and is positioned so that he gazes in adoration of the presiding deity in the sanctum. Nandi is regarded as a symbol of eternal waiting, purity, wisdom, and sacred power, and his worship can fulfill the true wishes of devotees.
ARULMIGU VINAYAGAR
Vinayagar is symbolized as the conqueror of obstacles, and has a shrine in the southwest corner of the temple. The deity is depicted as in the sitting posture, and his Mooshak (mouse) Vahanam is in adoration with the deity, which symbolizes crushing the useless thoughts of the devotees praying to the deity.
ARULMIGU THAMBIRAN
The disciple of Sithar, after gaining the grace of his master, exalted as Thambiran. Thambiran attained the state of salvation in compliance with his master. The heirs of Thambiran consecrated a pedestal structure as a relic in the second stage sanctum for him and submitted prayers along with the presiding deity.
ARULMIGU MAGAMAYI
The supreme mother goddess Magamayi is closely related to goddess Mariamman, Parvathi, and Durga. Her worship is celebrated during the Audi festivals to focus on bringing rains and curing epidemic diseases. She is considered the protector of devotees. She is an omnipresent mother watching her children (devotees).
